Personal
Private Pension Plans
Before
even thinking about Personal Pension Plans in depth, our Advisors
suggest you stop and consider the following two points:
1.
If you are below fifty years old, the chances are that you will
never see your own country’s state pension scheme. This
is because analysts predict that by the year 2010, the first
state pension scheme will collapse and this will cause a domino-effect
whereby countries realize that they have increasing population
growth and people are living longer - thereby the countries
being unable to afford to pay out pensions.
2.
If you feel that you have a company pension and this is sufficient,
have you ever considered what happens to your company pension
if you leave the company - or, if the company goes bankrupt?
This does happen from time to time, although unlikely, it could
happen.
You
may also want to consider that after you retire, this is the
longest holiday of your life, with almost everything being expenditure
and very little being income. When you go away for a vacation
in August, people often spend up to a week looking through brochures
and on the internet, before making a decision where to go –
and this is just for 2 weeks in the sun. How much time have
you and your spouse spent discussing your retirement which is
again, the longest holiday of your life?
An
Expatriate who is 45 years old and wishes to retire at 65, has
just 240 more salary payments before they retire, this means
just 240 chances to build up a sum of money that sometimes needs
to last up to 30 years. Frightening isn’t it when you
think like that?
Our Advisors can specifically tailor personal Pension Plans
to suit your own and your family’s needs in later life.
They take into account your ages, your retirement dates, life
expectancy, other assets held and ultimately what you need to
enjoy retirement. It is by combining all of this information,
studying it in depth, that they are then able to source suitable
products from the Offshore Pension providers.
Retirement
Planning may seem like an age away, but it is never too early
to start saving for your retirement and the earlier you commence
a Personal Pension Plan, the smaller the amount you need to
save regularly in order to reach your goals.
